Build Your Own Dessert Plate

I've said it before that I love cake platters/ dessert plates, but how much fun it can be to make your own!!! Not only is it fun, but inexpensive.
I bought the little bird from a local home decor store for about $1.25 on sale, I found the plate at Anthropologie for $3 on sale and the candlestick was from Dollar Tree for, of course, $1.
I used E6000 Glue to stick it all together.

Not too bad for $5.25, right?

That is so cute Emily! I saw an adorable Christmas Cake Platter at JC Penney's a few weeks ago and thought of you.

I just posted a similar one on my blog! And wouldn't you know I have little birdie salt and pepper shakers that look just like that one in my bathroom!
